Urban Decay Mother Lode 68 Eyeshadow Set

Wow this new release for Holiday 2013 looks beyond amazing but at $595 from Sephora a lot of us will be priced out of the market. This is for serious make up junkies and make up artists only.
It had 68 of Urban Decays best selling shadows and it will be available from Sephora soon. As well as all the shadows you get a empty 4 pan palette to put your favourits in how cute.
There is no word if it will be released in the UK or not yet.
I'm excited to see what other products they have up their sleeve for Holiday 2013 (Naked 3 anyone?) but for now I will just stare at this is awe.

My make up brushes

I'm quite a novice to make up brushes as I'd usually just use the ones that came in a palette and then have a foundation brush. Up until about a year ago I never really wore much make up but now it has become a obsession.
Here are my brushes that I have so far collected and use often:
Too Faced Eye Brush Set
Shadow brush, eyeliner brush and a shading brush. These brushes are the first proper set that I bought and I love them. These are made from "teddy bear hair" and they feel so soft. These come in a gorgeous vintage style case which I didn't keep hold of.
Real Techniques Core Collection
If you read my blog you will see that I bought this recently from iherb super cheap! These brushes are a no brainer as Real Techniques are professional quality and nice and soft. In here you get a buffing brush, pointed foundation (which I use for my concealer), detailer brush and a contour brush - which I'm currently using my powder blusher.
.
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
This is my favourite brush to apply my foundation or tinted moisturiser. It just blends my foundation in seamlessly and I prefer it to the buffing brush that I got with my core collection.
Elf Studio Stipple Brush
This was a bargain at about £4 new from eBay. It's always sold out on the Elf store but it is my brush of choice for applying most of my blushers especially my cream blusher and also my Benefit Watt's Up highlighter. This brush really comes into its own when applying cream blushers as it applies them evenly and light over the face. It feels just as good professional quality as some expensive brushes and It is one of my favourites.
Mac Double End brush 275SE/316SE
This came in my Mac Illustrated palette and it is amazing quality I adore the lip brush especially as it gives me the precision that I need to apply brighter lipsticks. The shadow brush end applies the product well but I find it can be a bit scratchy on the eyelid.
The Body Shop Eyebrow grooming brush
I don't use the eyelash end but I do use the other eyebrow one to keep mine nice and neat before using my Benefit Brow Zings.
Maxfactor Eyeliner brush
I use this for my gel liner as I don't want to mess up any of my nice brushes. This gives me a thin line of liner across my eyelid and it doesn't drag at all. It is also good at giving a cat eye flick with liner.
I store these in my Benefit make up bag and my Mac Illustrated Rebecca Moses brush bag. I bought this bag of eBay for £3 which is a bargain, it didn't have any brushes in it but I like it as it matches my Illustrated palette and I know it's good quality. It has a small pocket inside and a clear flap over the brush holder side to keep it clean. It has a cute bow print inside.
So that's my make up brush collection I am happy with it but I know that I'm missing some serious essentials. Next on my list is the Real Techniques eye collection as even though I don't need the eyeshadow brushes I will use them but most of all I want a proper eyebrow brush. I also want the Real Techniques blusher brush.

Mac Illustrated Rebecca Moses Face Kit Palette - Brown

When I saw this it literally took my breath away with its beauty. It without a doubt is the most gorgeous palette I have ever seen. I know not everyone will have the same opinion as me but I really can't find a single fault with it.
The start with the Ravishing lipstick was already on my wish list as it looked like the most perfect coral lipstick and I knew we I wanted to try it, so the fact that you get it in this palette sold the deal for me.
This palette is limited edition and is a collaboration with the artist Rebecca Moses. The packaging is very eye catching and I like it. It oozes quality as the material of the palette feels very well made and if you didn't know it was Mac you would still think that it was pricey. The case is a fabric material which you don't expect. It also has Rebecca signature on the mirror.
This palette comes in a choice of two colours which are brown or plum. The brown one looks far superior in my eyes but they have both sold out on Macs website but I do believe that they are still in stock at Selfridges. The RRP is £39.50 which isn't cheap but good value for Mac as to buy all these items separate it would cost a lot more than that.
My favourite thing about this palette is that you have abit of everything you get 4 eyeshadows a blush and 2 lipsticks so it would be perfect to travel with. I also love how the lipsticks have a separate cover inside to protect then from powder and to keep them fresh.
Inside you get:
* Melba powder blusher, matte
* Orb eye shadow (top left) satin
* Smoked Sepia eye shadow (bottom left) satin
* All That Glitters eye shadow (top right shadow) satin
* Show-Stopper eye shadow (bottom right shadow) matte
* Ravishing lipstick (top right) cream sheen
* Myth Lipstick (bottom right) satin
* Dual end brush 275SE/316SE
The colours are gorgeous and complement each other perfectly. On the back on the box you get a little set of instructions of how to achieve there desired look with the palette which I am wearing with the Ravishing lipstick in my picture.
This is definitely my favourite palette ever and there's not much more that I can say.

Swatches left to right are:
Eyeshadows as they are with no primer - Orb, all that glitters, smoked sepia and show stopper.
Other swatches:
Melba blusher, ravishing and myth lipsticks.

As you can see the colours are all gorgeous and pigmented. The blusher and lipsticks are very wearable colours for all skin types.

Have you tried any of the illustrated items? What do you think of this pallette?

Rimmel London Eyeshadow Trio in Modern Glam

After seeing a navy blue eyeshadow in a recent Bobby Brown palette it inspired me to search for a cheaper alternative.
I have found this Rimmel one in a colour rush trio eyeshadow. The trio is called Modern Glam which is colour 699.

You get the following shimmer colours: pale blue, pale pink and navy blue. The navy doesn't look as shimmery as the others which is good.

Overall the pigmentation of these is ok but not the best.
It can be found for very cheap as this trio is only 99p on Fragrance Direct. I bought it off amazon for £2.40 including postage.
I don't think it will be a eyeshadow trio that I will use very often but it will be nice to experiment with.

Do you own a navy blue eyeshadow and what do you think of it?

My International Wishlist

There is probably tonnes of products that I want from the USA that are not sold in England but here is my main 3 that you cannot buy from storrs in the UK. If I wanted these items I would have to get them shipped over which would be very pricey in the postage department.
Here is what I am lusting over from across the pond.

Tarte Coral Crush Amazonian Clay Palette
Omg how gorgeous is this, seriously just look at it for another second. Amazing.
This is so cute and it has everything, I love the circular shape and everything. It even has a starfish on the top of the compact which has been cut off in this picture.
I am so tempted to have this shipped over but it is limited edition so I'm guessing it will be hard to get hold of. Sephora currently have it on their site.
I love how you shadows, blush, bronzer and a highlight all in this palette. I am palette obsessed so this is right up my street.

Sigma Brushes and Brush Cup Holder
These look amazing but they are on the pricey side. I think the brush cup holder is a great idea as you can use I for travel too as well as displaying your brushes.
I've heard great things about these brushes but I've never tried them so I might add them to my Christmas list.
You can buy them individually or in sets. I'd like the essentials set.
The good thing about Sigmas website is that they shipping internationally no problem but again pricey.

What do you think of my international picks?

Benefit Most Glamorous Nudes Ever Eyeshadow Kit Review

Benefits World Famous Neutrals palettes have been out a few months now and there are 3 to choose from.
I went for the Most Glamorous Nudes palette as this looks like the one that I'd get the most use out of.
Unlike other eyeshadow palettes that I have this has a mixture of both cream and powder shadows and they look gorgeous alone or together.
Benefit give you instructions on how to use this kit for a glamorous day or evening look. My favourite is the day look as it is so versatile and stunning.
I am wearing this day look in my video so please let me know what you think.
To see swatches and to find out what I think about this palette please watch my video :-) x

Too Faced Summer Eyes

After admiring this for ages in couldn't resist buying it when I saw Beauty Bay had it on sale, they have free shipping and there was about £6 off the RRP so I had to buy it.
It arrived quickly with standard free shipping and I can't wait to try out the colours.
You get 3 looks inside a daytime, classic and then fashion. It came with a shadow insurance sample and a little booklet of how to achieve each look.
I will go more in depth when I've tried it out but I love the colours in it, the coral and mermaid ones are my favourite. I wanted to get this as all the colour palettes that I seem to have at the moment are very neutral,
so I wanted something to brighten me up and make me feel summery.
The packaging is really nice, it feels well made and the tin has a nice weight to it. No cheap tat here.
I have never ordered with Beauty Bay before but I definitely will again as I was offered the choice to pay an extra £1.50 which made my order leave the warehouse quicker and you also get a free sample.
I was lucky enough to get 2 free samples which are:
* Ouidad Botanical Boost - the moisture infusing & the refreshing spray for your hair 75ml. This is aimed at curly hair which I don't have but I will still give this a spritz on my straight locks when they are feeling a bit dry and frazzled to see if it livens them up.
*Dr. Brandt pores no more vacuum cleaner - blackhead extractor cream 7.5g.
Ive never heard of this but my skin is prone to blackheads so I will test it out.
Have you ever heard of these products and what did you think?
I was nearly as excited enough at getting my samples that I was the actual product that I'd ordered.
Swatches: from. Top to bottom they are - toasted coconut, chocolate sun, cocoa beach, mermaid, coral crush, plumeria, seashell, peach fuzz and sunbeam. The last 2 haven't really shown up with the flash but they are very sheer glittery yellows. These swatches are done without a primer underneath so you can get a idea of the pigmentation of the colours .
My only negative thoughts on this pallette are is it really necessary to have 3 different browns and two other colours very similar as well the peach fuzz and the sunbeam. They are more or less identical. I do like all 3 looks quite a lot so I am getting my use out of this pallette so it isn't a waste of money.
